Christmas lunch always seems to take a lot longer to cook in the camper but as always it was certainly worth the wait. We followed it by polishing off a Christmas pudding with Cornish clotted cream - of course!!!
After enjoying our lunch we spent the rest of Christmas Day just chilling out with Paddy.
Boxing Day was wet and windy. Michael and I did manage a walk and another pub lunch but most of our time was spent sat inside the camper enjoying the views, in between the heavy showers!!!
The following day it was time to pack up and head home after another wonderful Christmas at Ayr Holiday Park. We met some lovely people on site this year (all Auto-Trail motorhomers!!!). We are hoping to book up again in January and do it all over again in 2013.

Christmas in St Ives 2012 - Christmas Day
After picking up all the paper Paddy had shredded around the camper, Michael & I had a walk into town for an hour or so, while the sun was shining (!!!), before heading back to cook our Christmas lunch!!!!
Christmas in St Ives 2012 - Christmas Day
Christmas Eve was another wild night (weather-wise!!!) so after a bit of a lay in we were up and ready to enjoy Christmas Day with Paddy. After a quick breakfast Paddy opened his pressies (always the highlight of our year!!!).
Christmas in St Ives 2012 - Christmas Eve
After a pretty wild, windy night we awoke to a dry morning on Christmas Eve so we decided to have a wander down into town for a mooch around the shops and harbour. We had a lovely pub lunch and then a walk back to the site via Porthmeor beach, where the sun had finally decided to put in an appearance (although it was very brief!!!).
We spent the rest of the day back on site with Paddy, getting ready for Christmas Day!

Christmas in St Ives 2012 - Sunday 23rd December
Another year, another Christmas away in the camper and once again we'd opted to stay at the wonderful Ayr Holiday Park in St Ives. An open all year site with 5* facilities and 10* views!
We arrived on Sunday afternoon and had booked what we consider to be the best pitch on site! It was a cloudy, windy afternoon but the views somehow made up for it. We spent the afternoon decorating the camper and the evening in St Ives enjoying the pre-Christmas festivities!!!

Porth Beach Tourist Park - October 2012
It was such a lovely day on Saturday I thought I'd take some photos of the campsite looking its best!
No more booked trips now until Christmas - St Ives here we come!

Back to Porth - October 2012
We had the opportunity (no visitors and no appointments) to sneak away for a 2-night weekend in early October so we grabbed it with both hands!
Not wanting to travel far we nipped back down to Porth Beach Tourist Park where we had been only 3 weeks prior!
Some friends of ours had just purchased a motorhome (first timers!) and were camping at Porth that weekend so we pitched next to them and spent the weekend socialising and generally messing around with their new toy!!
It was very wet on the Friday so spent the evening in the pub on the beach!!
Saturday was a glorious day so after giving Paddy a quick walk on Porth Beach, we walked into Newquay along the coastal path for a couple of hours.
