Easter in Cheddar 2012 (Minnows, Tiverton)

After Paddy not being well during February and March and then Michael 'doing his back in' at work just a few weeks before Easter we weren't sure if we'd actually get away, but Paddy improved and Michael was told complete rest was what he needed so we headed off for an Easter chill out on Wednesday 4th April!

Our first night was an overnight stop at the Caravan Club affiliated site near Tiverton (Minnows).  After driving through rain for most of our journey we arrived on site to a short spell of sunshine so took Paddy for a walk along the canal before spending the rest of the evening in!

Hi Sharon
We stayed at the Minnows last year fora couple of nights on our way to South Devon. We loved the canal walks but the road noise was irritating

Hi Jane
I know exactly what you mean about Minnows. Last year we were in the 'new' section, the meadow, right by the A361 - far too noisy for us. This time we were pitched nearer the entrace to the site (pitch 25) and it was pretty sheltered from the road noise - either that or the cider made me sleep well???
Would only use again for stop over, although we have found a fab adults only site a few junctions further up at Chelston/Wellington (called Greenacres). Would prefer to use that site in all honesty.
