Easter 2014 in Cheddar - Wells

On the Saturday a few of us decided to catch the local bus from Cheddar into Wells for a wander around the Saturday market, cathedral and Bishops Palace.  It was dry and sunny but chilly so we all ended up in the new Wetherspoons for lunch!

On arriving back at the site we had a few hours to get ready for an evening out.  I had booked us all into the local Indian restaurant (Cheddar Cottage - highly recommended!) and a great time was had by all.

The weather wasn't great on the Sunday.  It was very windy.  Mike & I were up early to head to the weekly car boot sale not far from the site but we didn't hang around too long.  We then walked into Cheddar for a lunchtime pint and to watch the football.  The afternoon was spent chilling out in Daisy, listening to the rain that had finally arrived.  That evening we had a lovely roast dinner in Cheddar and then came back to the site to catch up with the gang, before heading home on Easter Monday after a full English in the village and a short wander.  Thankfully the whole weekend was a roaring success and it looks like they all want to do it again next year!!!

We're off to St Mawes this weekend for the bank holiday so the next blog update isn't too far away!
