Bristol - June 2015

Saturday was our last full day in the city. It had been raining overnight (not that we heard much!) and was very overcast and drizzly in the morning.  Not that it stopped us of course.  We walked into the city again and this time went to the Old City, a lovely area full of really old buildings (including the market).  We then ventured into one of the many shopping centres for a coffee before heading back out to explore the harbour area where we had a picnic lunch sat along the harbour side before catching a water taxi back to the site.  We spent an hour or so on site and then walked back into the city across the other side of the water (where you get a much better view of the SS Great Britain).  We then found a lovely Indian restaurant for our meal that evening in Hotwells.

Another great weekend away.  We are only sorry that we hadn't used the site before, as we'd love to go back to Bristol.  There is so much to see and do, we hardly scratched the surface and we walked miles!

Pembrokeshire is calling in a few weeks time.  Hope the summer has arrived to stay by then.  Keep everything crossed for us!
