Wales July 2015 - Caerfai Bay and St Davids

Soon we were on the move to our third campsite of this trip. It was a short, but stunning trip, along the coast road from Haverfordwest to the pretty city of St Davids, driving through both Newgale and Solva.  It was a bit 'hairy' in places in the camper!

It was tipping down from start to finish on the Monday so after arriving on site we did nothing all day long (just what the doctor ordered).  The campsite we stayed on was at Caerfai Bay and even in the rain the views were stunning!

Tuesday was a much better day to wake up to so after breakfast we were up and out.  We walked directly from the campsite along the coast path from Caerfai Bay to St Non's where we visited the little chapel, the well and the old chapel ruins.  From there we walked into St Davids where we spent the rest of the day. We visited the ruins of the Bishops Palace and the beautiful cathedral, in fact we did it twice, once during the morning and then again in the evening when we walked back into the city for a drink and a lovely Indian meal.
