Our next stop was the beautiful New Forest where we had booked Black Knowl CC site back in December to make sure we got a pitch! After packing up and saying goodbye to our friends we headed east and into the forest where we spent the next 3 nights. The site was packed but we managed to bag ourselves a lovely big hard-standing pitch.
After pitching up and having a quick bite to eat, whilst watching the birds on our feeder, we took a walk into Brockenhurst and back before having a BBQ on site that evening.
We awoke to glorious blue skies again on the Monday morning so decided to walk into Lyndhurst from Brockenhurst and back (4 miles each way through the forest). We had our lunch sat on a roof terrace in the town in the very warm sunshine before returning to the site to spend the rest of the day relaxing.
Tuesday was another beautiful day (we couldn't believe our luck!) so we were up early for breakfast and then headed out on the bikes for the day. We biked through the forest to Beaulieu, stopping off at Hatchet Pond on the way. Once again food was on the agenda! We had a lovely cream tea sat outside a small courtyard tea room in Beaulieu before heading back to the campsite. That evening we walked into Brockenhurst where we met a friend and enjoyed a lovely Indian meal in a local restaurant.
