It had felt a long time coming. After moving house in September and not having a trip in October our pre-booked trip to Bristol was a Godsend!
The weather had decided not to play ball but we never let it bother us too much and just get on with it.
We had booked 3 nights on the Caravan Club site in the centre of Bristol (Baltic Wharf), having stayed there in June and fallen in love with the city. The site was due to close in August but had a late reprieve, for which we are very grateful as it's a perfect site for motorhomes.
We arrived on Thursday lunchtime to rain, so after pitching up we had lunch and caught up with our friends who were also staying on the site. Despite the rain we headed into the city via the water taxi which runs from right outside the site gates. We spent the afternoon wandering around the city and then headed back to Baltic Wharf, where we ate in the pub next door that evening. I didn't take any photos that day!
Friday was another damp day but once again it didn't stop us. We had a walk in the morning (to the local Toolstation and Currys - supplies for our new home!) and managed to stay dry. We spent the afternoon chilling out on site before heading back into the city for the late afternoon and evening, where we had a few drinks before eating at Za Za Bazaar (highly recommended buffet style restaurant with food from across the world). We walked back to the campsite that evening and were entertained by a free firework display being set off at one of the pubs along the waterside. Again I didn't take my camera with me that evening but managed to get a few shots on my mobile phone.

Lovely evening shots in spite of not having your camera :)
