Stunning St Ives - April 2016

Next beach was Porthminster Beach, a beach made up of golden sand with views across to St Ives harbour and Godrevy lighthouse.  This beach is stunning and looks very tropical when the sun is shining!

A bit further along the coast is Carbis Bay, another lovely beach also with views further along this stunning coast.

We walked back from Carbis Bay and sat outside the café on Porthminster Beach having a proper Cornish pasty for lunch in the sunshine!

After our long walk we decided to stay in that evening and we had a Chinese takeaway delivered directly to the door!

The weather wasn't as nice on the Friday (cloudy but dry) so we spent the morning wandering around the quirky little shops in town before having lunch in the Balcony Bar, sat overlooking the harbour.  The storm clouds were brewing so we spent the rest of day chilling out before heading home on Saturday morning.  We love St Ives and Ayr Holiday Park and cannot wait to return for our Christmas break in December.

Next booked trip is a few weeks time, for the early May bank holiday weekend, when we head down to a little campsite we've not stayed on for years between St Austell and Mevagissey!

More lovely photos, my favourite just gas to be the last of the ones with the blue sky - that beach really looks like it should be in the Caribbean.

The light in St Ives is better than anywhere else we've ever been!
