Cornwall - June 2010 - Crantock (Fern Pit Ferry)

Whilst on the beach we decided to walk into Newquay for lunch.  Due to the tide being in we had to catch the little Fern Pit Ferry (rather than walk across small bridge that crosses the estuary).  What a great way to travel, although Paddy seemed to prefer jumping off the jetty into the water rather than into the boat!  After the short trip across we walked up the very steep stone steps to the top at Pentire, looking back across to Crantock - the colours were stunning and we could've been on a tropical island!
