After the disappointment of not being able to make it to the Lake District for our holiday in the camper, and after being towed home from Weston-Super-Mare (not something I'd like to experience again in all honesty), we decided not to be beaten and not to waste what turned out to be glorious weather and we booked into a doggie friendly B & B in Porthallow on the Lizard for 3 nights (before returning home to sort the camper problems out!).
Our first stop on the way down was the Gannel estuary, just outside Newquay for our midday picnic.
