Porlock Weir in Februay

OK so I know our latest posts are not actually motorhome tales but the area was so beautiful we didn't want to keep it to ourselves!!!

We had attempted to get away in Daisy during both January and February and for many reasons we weren't successful.  Paddy has not had a great time over the last 2 or 3 weeks.  He had a series of TIA's/mini strokes and then we were told that his front legs/elbows were nearly as arthritic as his back legs. He's still a very happy boy and thankfully has a strong, healthy heart so seems to be coping pretty well.  So we decided to treat ourselves to a weekend away in a B&B.  We trawled the Pets Welcome guides and internet and came up trumps!!!  We found a lovely old traditional thatched pub in Porlock Weir, Somerset that was very doggie friendly (in fact Paddy was free!) offering B&B on a winter deal (2 nights for the price of 1!).

When we left home on Friday morning you couldn't see your hand in front of your face!  We headed North and Barnstaple was clear(ish), got onto Exmoor and the mist descended yet again.  At Contisbury Hill, near Lynton it was still hanging around.
