Bridport - September 2017

After 2 brilliant days in Poole we were supposed to be heading into the New Forest to stay on the newly refurbished Black Knowl C&MC site in Brockenhurst.  However while in the restaurant on Saturday night we had a phone call from the wardens explaining they'd had a massive thunderstorm and that part of the site was flooded.  They could not guarantee us and hard standing pitch and after hearing they'd already pulled 3 units off site we agreed to cancel our booking.  We were both really disappointed.  However all was not lost we had a ring around on Sunday morning and managed to get a pitch at Bingham Grange, a lovely adults only site a few miles out of Bridport.

We arrived Sunday lunchtime, pitched up and spent the afternoon relaxing in the camper, listening to the radio and watching the rain! They have a bar/restaurant on site (another bonus!) so that evening we had a lovely meal there.  Storm Aileen battered us about a bit overnight but no damaged!

Monday we got up to grey skies so decided to catch the bus into Bridport, where we spent most of the day wandering around the quirky little antique shops.  We also enjoyed a pub lunch before heading back to the site in the afternoon.  That evening we had a takeaway Indian meal from the on site restaurant.
