September 2015 - Salisbury

After 3 glorious days in the New Forest our next stop was the pretty cathedral city of Salisbury, where we stayed on the C&CC site just a mile or so out of the city overlooking Old Sarum.  We walked into the city both days and explored the area around the cathedral and Harnham Water Meadows, as well as a few of the local watering holes!!!

On our last evening we walked up Old Sarum Hill and enjoyed the glorious views over Salisbury, our campsite and Old Sarum on a stunning evening.  Afterwards we met up with friends for a meal in the local Harvester just a 10 minute walk from the campsite.

We were off again Friday morning!  We left Salisbury and headed to Shepton Mallet for the annual motorhome show.  We didn't buy anything and weren't even tempted by any other motorhomes, we love our Bessy too much.  That evening we stayed at the same adults only campsite we'd used on our way home from Wales in July, Greenacres at Wellington.

Sadly that's our last trip until November now.  We have lots going on, including moving home (fingers crossed!), so no time for another trip until then.  We will certainly be ready for it by then!
