First Big Trip of 2018 - Broadway, Cotswolds - Broadway Tower

On Sunday we woke up to glorious blue skies again so we decided to walk up to Broadway Tower.  We'd done the walk before but chose a different route this time and it turned out to be a bit longer but less steep (apparently!!!).

Once at the top we had a coffee sat outside the coffee shop up there before taking in the stunning views from near the tower (our reward for the all the puffing up hill!). The walk back down was hard on the old knees (especially Mikes!) but so worth it.  The hawthorn trees were stunning in full bloom and it seemed to be where all the sheep took shelter from the blazing sun.

Back down in the village we had a ice cream and a wander around the quirky local shops before heading back to the campsite to chill out.  We went back in to the village later that evening for a Sunday roast in our favourite pub there.  A lovely way to end the few days we'd spent there, that seem to just fly by.
