We researched walks in the area in the campsite information room and decided to walk to Batsford, where there's an arboretum, garden centre/cafe and the Cotswold Falconry Centre. The walk was straight from the campsite too, along the Monarchs Way. It took you through fields of grasses, rape, cow parsley and buttercups. May and spring really are a beautiful time of the year. On arrival we had coffee in the garden centre cafe before deciding to do the Falconry Centre next door. They had a great deal on too. A 2 for 1 offer for Caravan Club members (luckily we'd remembered to take our cards with us this time). What a great place. We watched some of the nest cams that were housed in a barn (great time of year for nesting too), viewed the 'tethered' birds of prey, watched a flying display (which was utterly brilliant - my kind of heaven) and viewed all the aviaries. They had a fantastic variety of birds there and the staff were brilliant. We would highly recommend it (and the walk) if you're staying in the area.
That evening we had a brilliant Indian meal in a restaurant in the town. A lovely way to end our 3 night stay in Moreton.
