Wild Wales Tour 2012 - Hendre Mynach, Barmouth

Only too soon, and after three pretty wet days, we were packing up to leave Bala to head to our next site in Barmouth (one of our very favourite places in Wales).

It was still raining, and did so for most of our journey across the lovely Welsh countryside.  Many of the fields were flooded, most of the rivers had burst their banks or were very high.  The waterfalls coming off the hills and mountains were at their best though.

On arrival at our campsite (Hendre Mynach) we were shown to a lovely hardstanding pitch overlooking the Ty'r Graig Castle Hotel.

The other end of the campsite (normally used for tents) was pretty much under water after the torrential rain.  Mind you the next day there were some hardy campers pitching their tent where the water had been the day before!

Whilst having lunch on site we sat watching an adult magpie feeding her baby - very cute!
