Chirk - May 2014 - Castle, Aqueduct and On Site

On Saturday morning we packed up and headed north, up through the stunning Shropshire countryside to our next site on the Welsh/English border at Chirk.  Another site we've stayed on before and another one of our favourites. 

Again it was a beautiful day so as soon as we'd pitched up we set up the bikes and headed out for the afternoon, visiting Chirk castle, which was literally on the doorstep and Chirk aqueduct, where we crossed the border back into England briefly!

We had a lovely pitch in a wooded dell on the campsite and later that evening enjoyed a BBQ whilst watching the cheeky squirrel who'd decided to scoff all the bird seed we'd put out and the FA Cup final!!!
