Tewkesbury - May 2014

Soon it was the middle of May and our first 'big trip' of the year.  On the Friday morning that we left home the sun was shining and it was warming up nicely......great timing!

We headed north up the M5 for our first, and only, night in the pretty Gloucestershire town of Tewkesbury.  We had been many times before so knew what the site and town was like.

After pitching up and having lunch we spent the rest of the day enjoying the delights of Tewkesbury including the stunning abbey, the gardens, the river and the town. Later that evening we had our meal in the Wetherspoons sat outside in the sunshine, along with many others!

Before leaving for our next stop, Chirk, we had breakfast (again in the Wetherspoons!) and a mooch around the Saturday market held in the town each week.
