Elan Valley - May 2014 - Elan Valley Trail

On Wednesday morning we woke up again to the sound of the cuckoo and an absolutely stunning sunny day, just what we'd wished for, for our bike ride around the Elan Valley Trail.  It is one of the most beautiful areas we've had the pleasure to visit in the camper, with all its dams, reservoirs, woodland and wildlife and most of the trail is off-road.  Probably the best bike trail we've done so far too.  We spent most of the day biking around the whole trail from the Elan Village Visitor Centre to Rhayader and back again, with a stop for lunch at a fantastic B&B/tearoom (Penbont House - highly recommended).  We even stopped off to visit the tiny church at Garreg Ddu called Nantgwyllt.  It was a perfect day and one of the best we've had in Daisy so far.
