After sheltering from another heavy shower we wandered back down through the village to Lydford Gorge.
Owned an run by the National Trust there are 3 or 4 miles of steep (and slippery after so much rain!) walks down into the gorge and some wonderful waterfalls. We couldn't do the walk because Paddy would never have coped with all the steps with his arthritis but I managed to get a few photos from the road above.
Although it was a mainly wet weekend we still thoroughly enjoyed being away.
We are all now looking forward to our next trip in early September!
