We were up long before breakfast to give Paddy a short walk and to nose around the village. It really is a wonderful place, with a pub (The Bottom Ship - where we stayed), two hotels, a deli/catering outlet, a designer clothes shop (!), a gift shop and a museum/aquarium......all part of the Porlock Manor Estate. Most of the houses are thatched and wouldn't be out of place on a chocolate box.
We love being away in our motorhome but from time to time doing something different is fantastic and all 3 of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bottom Ship and we have no doubts we'll be back there again sometime soon!
We are now all looking forward to our next trip in Daisy over Easter - Cheddar here we come.....again!!
