Cheddstock 2015 - Easter

On Easter Saturday we got the bikes off the back of the camper finally and spent some of the day biking to Sandford, home of Thatchers cider, where we picked up some supplies before biking back to the site to spend the afternoon getting ready for our busy evening.  I had booked 13 of us into the local Indian restaurant.  A great time was had by all, especially after the meal when all 13 of us (and 2 dogs) were crammed into the Airstream for after dinner drinks!!

Cheddar hold a regular weekly car boot sale, just a short walk from the campsite, each Sunday so most of us visited that on Easter Sunday morning (those that weren't too worse for wear!!!).   After we'd all got back a bunch of us sat outside eating Easter cake, kindly made by one of the gang (and lovely it was too!).  Whilst there we had a visit from a guy who was staying at the CC site next door. He'd come to seek us out because his wife follows this blog!  Thank you for reading it Donna and thank you to your husband (who's name I didn't get) and the dog for the visit!

After cake, we decided we needed a walk so Mike & I walked into Cheddar village again.  The sun had come out and it was very busy, as you'd expect for a Bank Holiday weekend.

Later that evening a few of us got together again and had a lovely meal in a pub in the village.  It seems all we did was eat and drink all Easter!  Perfect.

Monday morning was quick to arrive and we were all heading home that day after another brilliant Cheddstock.  It was my birthday on the Monday and at 8:30am we had a knock on the camper door and I was surprised to see most of the group singing happy birthday and holding a cake complete with candles!  Best birthday I've had for years!!!

Our next trip is in just a few weeks time for the May Day Bank Holiday weekend, when we head down to Carnon Downs again in the hope that the weather is kind enough for us to bike all weekend!

How nice to meet by chance someone who reads your blog. And a brilliant birthday surprise as well - a great way to end a holiday :)

I am sure it was an amazing weekend. Great surprise. I am thinking to give a nice surprise to my lovely wife on her birthday with hiring campervan hire Australia services for a nice trip. I am sure she will be very happy.
