New Year in Padstow 2015

Having returned home from Poole on the Monday we were soon off again two days later, having re-stocked Bessy with more essential supplies!  We had booked to stay in Padstow for the New Year.  Again the weather really wasn't playing ball.  We travelled in the rain, pitched up in the rain and that's what we got for a majority of our break!

Not to be defeated we walked down into Padstow that evening (in the rain!) and found a nice pub with a warm fire, great cider and good food.

On New Years Eve we managed to walk down into Padstow again (in the dry!) where we met up with my Dad and Step-Mum for a wander and a drink (well it was raining by lunchtime!).  We enjoyed a traditional pasty for lunch around the harbour before returning to the site to get ready for our night out.  Thankfully we had booked a taxi for the evening.  Again we had a lovely meal in a great pub and then we came back to the site where we celebrated New Years Eve with our friends in their motorhome, drinking far too much Prosecco and watching the fireworks at midnight going off both over the harbour and Wadebridge.

New Years Day was very wet and very windy so we decided to travel home a day early.  A great time was had and we've already pre-booked our Christmas and New Year sites for 2016!
