Tuesday morning we awoke to glorious blue skies and already very warm sunshine so we made a picnic and headed via the village and sand dunes at Gwithian to Godrevy Lighthouse.

On Monday morning, after breakfast and a walk along the river, we packed up and travelled to our second site. Gwithian Farm campsite sits bang in the middle of the village (doggie friendly pub right opposite site - bonus!) and is surrounded by sand dunes.

After Sunday lunch in The Ship Inn in Mevagissey (highly recommended!) we caught the bus back to Pentewan and then walked back to the campsite along the Pentewan Valley Trail to spend our last evening on site.

That particular weekend was the Working Sail Festival weekend in Mevagissey. Well timed eh? There were loads of sail boats moored up in the harbour and by the time we had walked around to the lighthouse they were sailing off out into the bay!

Stepping off the bus at Mevagissey we meandered through the tiny streets down to the harbour.

On arrival in the village we had a wander around before heading for morning coffee sat outside in the sunshine. We then caught the bus from Pentewan to Mevagissey.

After spending the day in St Austell on Saturday we got up early Sunday to walk the Pentewan Valley Trail directly from the site into Pentewan.
