Dorset - September 2014 - Swanage

On Tuesday we awoke to another stunning blue sky day so once again we were up early and ready to walk into Corfe to catch the steam train into Swanage for the day.

On arrival in Swanage we had a wander along the seafront before picking up a few bits for a picnic lunch.  We then walked along the coast path and up to Durlston Country Park and castle where we sat overlooking the sea having our picnic in the very warm sunshine.

Once back in Corfe we walked back to the campsite via the castle and spent the evening on site having a BBQ for two!  We had lots of wildlife visiting us on site.  A little robin was a regular visitor and even managed to come inside the camper on a few occasions.  The bird seed we had put out on our daisy feeder was going quickly too but we soon discovered it wasn't the robin but a sneaky squirrel!

Dorset - September 2014 - Corfe Castle

On Monday morning it was time to pack up and move on, after three great days in Weymouth.  Our next site was in the lovely village of Corfe Castle, just a 15 minute stroll from the famous castle.  We arrived at lunchtime and after pitching up we had a quick bite to eat and then walked into the village to explore the castle.

That evening some friends, who live in the area,  picked us up from the campsite and took us to a fantastic pub they knew, very quaint with stunning views over the Dorset coastline.
