Granite Way, Lydford - August 2010

During a majority of Saturday it tipped down.  You could see when it was coming from the very black clouds over the moors!  We spent most of the morning relaxing and reading in the camper but decided to head off out for a wander, waterproofed up, in the afternoon!

Just outside the village is the Granite Way, a cycle track that runs 14 miles from Lydford to Okehampton, mainly off road, along the old rail track.  We only took a short walk along the track before finding shelter from another hefty shower!  We plan to return to this site (when the sun shines) with our bikes (and Paddy's trailer!) so that we can do the Granite Way.

Hi Sharon
What grate photos very interesting some lovely shots in this blog. We are not away now until 9th Sept. This next 2 weeks we are having a new roof on the conservatory as the old one is leaking, bowls down when we go away so it must be done. I will blog progress.
