South Wales - May 2013 - Pandy, near Abergavenny

On Saturday morning we were off again, heading East for our last night on the lovely Caravan Club site at Pandy.   We use this site as a very handy stop over, as we can be home from here within 3 - 3.5 hours, depending on the traffic on the M4/M5.  It's a lovely quiet site, even with the railway line on the edge of the site.

We spent our day here sat outside in the very warm sunshine reading and watching the wildlife on site.....I even got sunburned!!!  We had our meal in the camper that evening and then nipped down the pub (which was almost outside the campsite) for a last 'holiday pint'.

We had a fantastic holiday in South Wales.  Couldn't believe our luck with the weather.  We are already planning a trip in 2014 and will possibly go further West this time.

It's not long until our next trip, just a week or so to wait.  We've booked a site in Lydford on Dartmoor for a long weekend.  We're hoping the weather will be kind to us again so that we can take our new electric bikes and try out the Granite Way which runs directly from the village.  Fingers and paws crossed eh?!

So happy that you enjoyed your time in South Wales. You chose your sites well. All are within an hour from me, and I have stayed on them all.

Nice to see my area from a visitor's perspective.
