When we got back to the site we had a neighbour. I think it was the smallest tent we'd ever seen. Paddy had his eye on kipping in it!
That evening we had a meal in the Mermaid Inn (the pub right on Porth Beach) and lovely it was too!

Cornwall September 2013 - Porth Beach, Newquay
After just one night at Carnon Downs it was time to move on. Again we hadn't booked anywhere but had decided to try and stay at one of our favourite Cornish sites at Porth Beach. On arrival it was packed. They had 3 separate rallies on site but managed to offer us a choice of just 2 pitches. We chose a large hardstanding tucked away in the corner and booked 2 nights. We set up and walked into Newquay where we had a picnic lunch sat on the headland near Lusty Glaze.
